The Foundation works with programs that are striving to enhance the sustainability of the vibrant culture and quality of life in and around the city of Grand Rapids. Emphasis is given to those that focus on developing an individual’s capacity to meet their daily needs as well as grow intellectually and emotionally.

The Foundation makes priority for this funding in the following areas:

• Health & human service programs that are working to address major issues facing those living within the local community.
• Neighborhood development/improvement programs that help make the community more livable and sustainable.
• Public policy & advocacy programs that strive to bring key issues to the forefront of discussion and societal change.
• Strategic community projects that help West Michigan enhance it’s cultural and economic vitality and sustainability.
